Payment Options & Self-Pay

We aim to make quality care accessible and transparent. Whether you are using insurance or paying out-of-pocket, we are here to help you navigate the financial side of your healing journey with clarity and confidence.

Self-Pay Rates & Options

For clients not using insurance, our standard self-pay rates range from $130 to $175 per session. We accept all major credit cards, as well as Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for your convenience.

Sliding Scale Availability

We believe financial circumstances should not be a barrier to care. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on financial need. Please inquire during your consultation.

Navigating Your Benefits

We aim to make care accessible and transparent. Understanding your insurance coverage shouldn't be a barrier to healing. Follow these steps to verify your benefits before your first session.

  • Locate your member ID card and find the customer service phone number for mental/behavioral health.
  • Call your provider and ask specifically about outpatient mental health benefits.
  • Verify if Circle in a Square Counseling is in-network or if you have out-of-network coverage.
  • Confirm any deductible amounts or copays you may be responsible for.

Questions to help you verify coverage

1. Do I have mental health benefits?

Start here to confirm that outpatient counseling is a covered service under your specific plan.

2. What is my deductible and copay?

Ask if you must reach a deductible first, and what your fixed copay or percentage coinsurance will be per visit.

3. Is 'Circle in a Square' in-network?

Determine if we are in-network with your specific network (e.g., Heritage, PPO, HMO) to ensure the lowest out-of-pocket cost.

Questions & Answers

What is a copay and when is it due?

A copay is a fixed amount you pay for a covered health care service. At Circle in a Square, copays are due at the time of your session. We will help you identify this amount during our initial benefit verification process.

Can I use out-of-network benefits?

Yes. If we are not in-network with your specific plan, you may still be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. We can provide you with a monthly Statement for Insurance (Superbill) that you can submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.

What is a Superbill and how does it work?

A Superbill is a detailed document that outlines the services provided, including diagnostic codes and therapist information. You submit this directly to your insurance company. They then process it and may mail a reimbursement check directly to you based on your out-of-network coverage levels.

Still have questions?

We aim to make care accessible and transparent. If you're feeling overwhelmed by insurance terminology or cost concerns, we’re here to help you navigate costs and verify benefits personally.
