Alex Olvera
LMHCA
Hello, my name is Alex, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA). I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and personal growth through a holistic and client-centered approach. I believe that every person’s experience is unique, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
My primary therapeutic foundation is person-centered therapy, which emphasizes each client's innate capacity for growth and healing. I tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of each client while integrating evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University and have specialized training and experience working with both athletes and non-athletes facing challenges related to eating disorders, body image concerns, injury recovery, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and performance enhancement. I am particularly passionate about helping clients strengthen their relationship with themselves, build resilience, and develop meaningful strategies to navigate life's challenges.
My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, foster lasting change, and move toward living a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I look forward to working with you.
